atingi is a multilingual, and GDPR-compliant state-of-the-art Learning Management System (LMS) which offers an effective, scalable, and sustainable way to implement digital learning. atingi started as a project commissioned by the ‘German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development’ (BMZ) in 2019 and has become the standard solution (SPM) for digital learning within GIZ from 2026. It is specifically designed for international development cooperation and is constantly updated and improved based on the needs of GIZ projects all around the globe.
atingi can only be used by GIZ projects. External organizations that would like to implement their capacity building with atingi can only do this through GIZ projects.
atingi offers a flexible pricing model designed to serve GIZ project’s diverse needs and successfully deliver high-quality digital capacity development. This service model combines a platform subscription with one of four available service packages tailored to project needs of varying scope.
For learners, atingi is free of charge. Therefore, all courses on atingi should be for free and targeted at learners age 16+ who reside in Latin America, MENA, Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, or Eastern Europe.
If you develop a course on atingi, your learners get access to hundreds of existing courses, and you can additionally design your own courses according to your learners’ needs using different learning formats. Furthermore, we at atingi believe in Open Source and therefore encourage our partners to re-use existing material that has been published under a Creative commons license and is part of our re-use library.
