We want to make sure that every course on atingi meets certain quality standards, which we have developed over time based on our experience and expertise working with learners, partners, and courses. We share those criteria with every partner at the beginning of their journey so that the course(s) can be developed based on the quality standards. If your project intends to use a service provider, we always recommend sharing the forms with the provider before the course development starts.
To make it easier for our partners to have a good overview over the standards that have to be fulfilled, we have developed two documents that serve as a basis of our quality assurance process:
- atingi Design and Create guidelines and recommendations: this article will help you to design and create a course aligning with a specific set of publishing recommendations that will boost the quality of your atingi course(s). It will support you in designing courses that meet the certain requirements for publication on atingi.
- atingi Quality Assurance Platform: this will guide you through all the correct Moodle settings for all your chosen activities and resources. As you know, there are three course libraries on atingi. Each of these has different requirements which are mandatory. The QA checklist consists of three main parts: 1) visual requirements and basic course information, which ensure that our learners have a similarly structured user experience from one course to the next, 2) course structure and settings, which ensure that your course activities and reporting function properly, 3) a testing part, which ensure that projects have tested the course as a learner to check that it works and are familiar with how learners will go through their course.
Once the course is ready to be launched, our project goes through atingi Quality Assurance Platform and confirm that all items have been implemented. Then our atingi account managers use the list to double check the course and provide feedback on whether or not criteria are met. Only after the Quality Assurance process is successfully completed, your account manager will publish your course.
If you read through our documents carefully and use them from the start of your course development, it is quite easy to meet all quality standards. Especially if you hired a professional service provider, they should make sure that your course(s) are of a high quality in general. To receive the quality assurance documents, please contact your atingi account manager or reach out to help@atingi.org. You can also download them via the links provided in his chapter if you are logged in to your atingi account and have enrolled in the course (Partner support center).
